Dimwit dimmers are designed for 120V North American electrical systems and require hardwired installation by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable electrical codes and regulations.

Single-Pole Only
Dimwit controls a light, or group of lights, from one location. If the same lights are controlled from two or more locations, Dimwit is not compatible with that installation.

Bulb Compatibility
Use dimmable LED/CFL or incandescent/halogen bulbs within the specified load ranges. LED and CFL bulbs must be labeled dimmable, and performance can vary by bulb make and type. Our preferred bulb brands are Tala, Satco, and Sigalux. For best performance, avoid mixing different lighting types on the same dimmer.

INSTALLATION:
To be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable electrical codes and regulations.

1. Turn off power at the circuit breaker. Confirm power is off.
2. Remove the existing switch or dimmer and disconnect all wires.
3. Determine whether you need the detachable spacers. If the wall box sits proud of the wall, remove the risers. If it's recessed, keep them.
4. Connect the hot wire (black) to the Hot terminal.
5. Connect the load wire to the Load terminal.
6. Connect the ground wire (green) to the Ground terminal.
7. Tuck wires carefully into the wall box and secure the dimmer with the provided screws. The Dimwit logo on the back should face up.
8. Attach the faceplate using the Magwit System™ — connect the tab at the top of the dimmer to the inside of the faceplate, then press the bottom until the magnets engage. The plate should feel secure.
9. Push the knob onto the dimmer stem until it sits flush on the plate.
10. Restore power at the circuit breaker and test on/off and full-range dimming.

Troubleshooting
If lights flicker at low levels, try a different compatible dimmable LED bulb or raise the minimum dim level. Some LED fixtures may not be fully compatible with low-end dimming.

Designed for longevity with proper care.

Clean wall plates and knobs with a dry, lint-free cloth or feather duster. Do not use water, solvents, abrasives, or harsh cleaning chemicals.

During installation, handle plates with clean hands or gloves to help prevent oils and marks from transferring to the finish.

All pre-order dimmers ship free. Orders ship via USPS, FedEx, or UPS with tracking. You'll receive a shipping confirmation and tracking details by email once your order is on the way.

Sample Kits
When purchased at full price, the cost of your Sample Kit, minus shipping, is credited toward your first dimmer order. You will receive code for your credit via email after purchase.

If you'd prefer not to keep your kit, pass it along to someone who might love it — they'll find a code on the bottom of the kit for 10% off their first purchase.

Sample Kits are final sale and not eligible for return.

15-Day Return Policy — Dimmers Only
We accept returns of unused, uninstalled dimmers, minus a 20% restocking fee. Return requests must be submitted within 15 days of delivery by emailing support@dimwit.world.

Products must be returned in their original, undamaged packaging, including all individual boxes, as packaging is considered part of the product. Installed products are not eligible for return. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Any modifications made to Dimwit products will void warranty, certifications, and return eligibility.

Refunds
Refunds are issued after inspection to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Lifetime Limited Warranty
All dimmer modules are backed by a lifetime limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. The warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and does not cover cosmetic damage or normal wear and tear.

To initiate a warranty claim, contact support@dimwit.world with your order number, photos, and a description of the issue. We may request additional documentation or that the product be returned for inspection. Dimwit will repair, replace, or refund the product at our discretion.
