Refund policy






We want your Dimwit order to arrive beautifully and on time. Here's everything you need to know.

Lead Times
Current pre-order lead time estimates:

    • Dimmers — 12–14 weeks
    • Sample Kits — 3–4 weeks

We'll confirm your estimated delivery date after you place your order.

Shipping

Orders ship via USPS, FedEx, or UPS with tracking. You'll receive shipping confirmation and tracking details by email once your order has shipped.

Project & Trade Orders
For larger orders or time-sensitive installations, contact trade@dimwit.world to discuss lead times and options.

Sample Kits
Sample Kits are not eligible for return. The cost (minus shipping) is credited back once toward your first order. If you'd prefer not to keep your kit, please pass it along to someone who might love it.

Returns — Dimmers Only
We accept returns on dimmers within 15 days of receiving your order, subject to a 20% restocking fee.

To initiate a return, email support@dimwit.world within that window. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted or refunded.

Returns are sent to: 2337 SE Ankeny St., Portland, OR 97214.Products must be returned in original, undamaged packaging — including all items that ship in individual boxes, as this is considered part of the product. Installed products are not eligible for return. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Final Sale Items
The following are final sale and not eligible for cancellation or return:

    • Sample Kits
    • Rush orders
    • Custom or modified pieces
    • Special editions

Any modifications made to our products will void their warranty, certifications, and return eligibility.

Damages & Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Refunds
We'll notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know whether the refund has been approved. If approved, you'll be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days, minus the 20% restocking fee and original shipping charges. Note that your bank or credit card company may take additional time to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved, contact us at support@dimwit.world.
